Tender Roots is exactly what its name promises — a home built with warmth, intention, and the quiet excitement of a family beginning its story. A young couple with a toddler, a 940 sq.ft apartment in Bengaluru, and a vision for a space that feels spacious despite its compact footprint. Simple in its palette, rich in its details, and deeply personal in every choice.
The design brief was as clear as it was heartfelt: serene, lived-in, and uniquely theirs. No excess. No noise. Just a home that holds the family gently — colourful where it counts, calm where it needs to be, and always, unmistakably, full of life.
Every detail of Love Nest was shaped through careful conversation — the couple's love for natural textures, their appreciation for understated colour, their need for a home that works as hard as it looks good. The moodboards below capture the design language room by room: warm neutrals grounded in wood and rattan, black metal accents that add quiet drama, and moments of playful personality that make this home, unmistakably, theirs.

The living and dining areas are where this home truly comes alive. Colourful yet restrained — the kind of palette that radiates warmth without overwhelming. Natural textures are in quiet conversation throughout: a bamboo chandelier catches light with an unhurried elegance, black metal accents ground the space with purpose, and carefully chosen upholstery fabrics bring the room together with a softness that makes you want to linger.
The master bedroom does what only the best bedrooms can — it makes you slow down. Warm wooden tones move through the room like a steady undercurrent: in the fluted panelling, the wardrobe, the floor. A nature-inspired wallpaper unfurls behind the bed, bringing the outside in with a gentleness that feels entirely intentional. It is the kind of room that holds you.
The children's room is a study in joyful restraint. Blue and yellow — but not as you have seen them before. The combination is unexpected, a little adventurous, yet perfectly calibrated for a child's world. Playful, yes. But with a considered lightness that keeps it feeling like it belongs to the same thoughtful home.
The home office was designed entirely around the client's vision: generous enough to be truly productive, yet graceful enough to welcome guests. A long floating desk in warm wood, suspended shelves with black metal frames, a bay seater that doubles as quiet reading nook. It is rare to find a home office that feels this purposeful in a space this compact.
The kitchen pairs olive green lower cabinets with warm wood uppers — a combination that feels grounded and contemporary all at once. Fluted glass shutters and subway tile add texture and light. The gold-accented partition between kitchen and living brings both spaces into quiet dialogue.
Throughout the home, colour arrives gently — through green cushions, through the warmth of rattan, through the softness of linen. Love Nest doesn't announce itself. It simply, quietly, feels like home.
